GLENWOOD SPRINGS - Interstate 70 through the Glenwood Canyon reopened about 3 p.m. this afternoon.
The Colorado Department of Transportation had been working on getting one traffic lane in each direction open on through the canyon since a rock fall closed the road early Monday morning.
Crews were able to open the interstate to one lane in each direction with a 14-foot width restriction, and speeds are reduced to 40 mph through the canyon.

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colorado - Over-the-road trucks rumbled through Steamboat Springs in greater numbers than usual Tuesday afternoon, but civic leaders were looking out a month to the scheduled repaving of Lincoln Avenue/U.S. Highway 40.
The major highway that runs through Ski Town USA was designated one of two detours for Interstate 70 this week in the wake of a large rock slide that closed the four-lane highway in Glenwood Canyon. The slide occurred at about midnight Sunday.
"People are wondering if the closure will last through April 5," said Tracy Barnett, of Mainstreet Steamboat Springs.

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado - Heath Johnston sat hunched over, hanging his head, as he listened to a recording of his interrogation with Rifle Police Lt. J.R. Boulton, which occurred hours after he allegedly shot his brother, Sam Johnston, 26, on Dec. 15, 2008.
Only a few times did Johnston, 21, look at his image on the screen.
The recording was presented Wednesday in Garfield County District Court at an all-day motions hearing scheduled to address several pre-trial motions filed by both prosecutors and the public defenders office in the first-degree murder case.
    Johnston is charged with killing...
