    Carbondale will hold an election forum on Friday, March 19.
    Topics will include economy, development, public transportation, medical marijuana and others. Trustee and mayoral candidates will present their perspectives, defend their positions and field questions from the community.

    Mable students do well in tourney
    On Saturday, March 13, the Western Tang Soo Do Federation held its annual meetings and clinics in Glenwood Springs, including its first tournament and students from Brian Mable Karate and other affiliated schools took part resulting in many first-, second- and third-place winnings. Black belts and students from around the country came to learn and test their skills. A dinner was held later for students and families.

    OK, maybe it was cool back in the '70s to be high at work, but that doesn't seem to be a good idea these days.

    Now that medical marijuana is legal by state law in Colorado, employers are now facing whether or not it is cool (or legal) to have their employees come to work high.

    The Glenwood Springs Soccer Club will host a soccer recertification clinic for Grade 8 and 9 referees on Saturday. The clinic will be held at Glenwood Springs High School from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and the fee is $53.
